Wow- this story is just an amazing example of stepping outside of yourself and your own problems to connect with people! A young  young woman in Colorado turned what most would consider a “sad occasion” into a night of sharing.

She had her wedding called off days beforehand, and with a reception room booked and catered, and not enough notice to cancel, she decided to organize an early holiday meal for a local homeless shelter, feeding 150 people a feast.

“What this is all about is a warm meal on a really cold night. Hopefully it makes for a nice November and a nice kickoff to the holiday season,” says Mac Shafer, the young woman’s father.
